The Ripon Awards, Volunteer of the Year - James Parkes

Our Chair, James Parkes, won the Volunteer of the Year Award at the 1st Ripon Awards evening. 

James and Odette from the YMCA both attended the event, James said.

"The Ripon Awards evening was a wonderful event and a great way to highlight some of the fantastic business, organisations and individuals in our City. 
 
I am truly honoured to be awarded Volunteer of the Year 2017, though my role of Chair at the YMCA would not be possible, and as enjoyable, if it weren’t for the Staff, Trustees, Volunteers and young people themselves, so this award is really for everyone involved with the charity. 
 
We have been working hard at Ripon YMCA to engage with the local community to highlight the need for homelessness services for people aged 16-35 years, and this is another great way to promote the much needed work of the charity".
