Youth Work Terms and Conditions
YMCA Ripon Terms and Conditions for any young person signing up to take part in a YMCA Project.
YMCA Ripon Youth Work provision aims to provide a safe and open environment for young people in a variety of venues across the Ripon area and our terms and conditions reflect this.
In order to attend YMCA Ripon Youth Work activities, the young person will be required to independently engage with the session. They are responsible for their own behaviour, and follow our behaviour code. It is up to the young person to decide whether they believe that they can engage independently in the relevant activity.
If a young person needs support and or assistance please get in touch with the YMCA staff team prior to a session.
In signing up yourself or a young person to the YMCA Youth projects please see the following list of conditions:
Either yourself (if you are over 16) or your parent, career or guardian are giving consent of you are under 16.
I consent to the named young person participating in the YMCA Youth Project
I consent to the named young person receiving necessary first aid administered by a staff member who may also contact emergency services if required.
Staff will use the emergency contact details if appropriate and when relevant.
I consent to the named young person being filmed or photographed and these may be used for publication or marketing and/or social media. YMCA Ripon will take steps to ensure these images are used solely for the purposes for which they are intended. YMCA Ripon always aims to be sensitive when taking photos or videos of any young person. If consent is required for publication we will approach the young person and the parent for anyone who is under 16. If the young person is 16+ we will take consent and direction from the young person themselves.
I understand that the named young person needs to follow the behaviour code and any safety rules so that YMCA Ripon can keep them and others safe. This includes the right to refuse entry and the right to ask them to leave. The young person will need to listen to staff instructions while present and they may be asked to leave if they are not adhering to the behaviour code. In some circumstances this may lead to the young person being barred from future YMCA Ripon sessions.
YMCA Ripon has no responsibility for young people getting to or from the venue or if they choose to leave. YMCA Ripon will not be checking that young people get home safely.
I understand the sessions and/or activity may offer support and information on matters faced by young people. This may include giving topics such as sexual health, LGBTQ+, risk taking behaviours, and wellbeing to name a few. If you have any concerns, then please speak with a staff member.
