Sleep Easy 2020
Saturday the 28th of March from 7pm to 7am on the 29th of March.
Spend a night sleeping out to support your local YMCA.
Homelessness is often hidden on our society. Young people who have no fixed home will often find themselves sleeping at a friends house on a sofa or the floor.
In the past year we have seen young people staying in tents, cars, sleeping on a kitchen floor and in a shed, with many more "sofa surfing".
The YMCA can help
We can give young people a safe place to stay and provide support to promote independence
By taking part in our sleep easy campaign you can raise money through sponsorship to stay out for 1 night. Sleep out with us or even on your sofa at home to raise money and awareness of young people and homelessness.
A group of like-minded volunteers will be spending the night together at our Sleep Easy site at Ripon Workhouse Museum. We will start at 7pm with a meal and briefing at the YMCA. Followed by games and activities.
Breakfast will be from 6am with the event finishing at 7am on the Sunday morning.
The event will be managed and run by the staff at Ripon YMCA. We will provide support to all registered participants through the night.
